Pacifista Injection Knife — Valve Maintenance Kit
In the box: 3 O-rings · 1 tube of Pacifista Silicone Grease · 1 return spring · 1 snap ring
What you'll need: snap ring pliers · 5/64" Allen wrench · 4 mm open-end wrench · a small push pin · a Q-Tip
1. Teardown — opening the patient
Hold the base of the valve with the 4 mm open-end wrench and back the button off with the Allen wrench. Then pull the old snap ring with the snap ring pliers.
For the old O-rings: slip the push pin underneath and pop them out. They're not going back in — no need to be gentle.
2. New O-rings — bottom to top
Grease each O-ring generously with the Pacifista Silicone Grease, then install the bottom one first, stretching it down into the first groove. Middle next, top last, same method.
The order isn't a suggestion. Go the other way and you'll roll the ones you already seated right back out of their grooves.
3. Spring and bore
Grease the end of the spring and drop it into the bottom of the valve. Then grease the bore of the valve cavity with a Q-Tip.
4. Reassembly — the fiddly part
Flip the knife upside down. Gravity does the work and the spring stays put.
Push the valve in while twisting it. You'll feel it pass the snap ring groove — keep going until it bottoms out.
Don't skip this check: push the valve up and down. It should spring back out easily, no binding. If it drags, an O-ring isn't seated — better to find that now than underwater.
5. Snap ring — the trick that makes it easy
Push the snap ring past the groove, thread the button on temporarily, then pull up on the valve. The ring snaps into place on its own.
Tighten the button for good with the open-end wrench and Allen wrench.
6. Final check
Load a CO2 cartridge and test for correct operation.
Care
Caring for your device is also caring for the environment.
A tool that lasts ten years is a tool that never becomes waste. To keep it in working condition, simply wipe the housing with a soft dry cloth and clear the lens and contact points of dust before storing. This is gentler on the finish and the electronics than any cleaning product, and it keeps the battery healthy far longer than charging habits alone.
Wipe the body with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth only
Clean the lens with a microfiber cloth — never paper or fabric with texture
Do not use solvents, alcohol, bleach, or abrasive cleaners
Do not submerge in water or clean under running water
Recharge before the battery falls below 20%, and top up every 3 months if stored unused
Do not charge in temperatures below 0ºC / 32ºF or above 45ºC / 113ºF
Do not expose to direct sunlight, dashboards, or closed vehicles in summer
Store dry, with the safety lock engaged, out of reach of children
Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt to replace the battery yourself
Do not dispose of with household waste — return to an electronics recycling point
